Description:
Auntie Tess is the first quilt that Patty entered into an AQS Quilt Show. Based on the Auntie Tess pattern by Corliss Searcey, the inspiration for the quilt came from Patty searching for an "Oh Wow" quilt, one that is different from others and striking, which this pattern was to her. Patty worked on the quilt while her boyfriend was recovering from a double lung transplant, which required them to move for three months. After his successful procedure and during his recuperation, Patty did most of the appliqué work and completed the quilt, with the quilting done by Erin Marth. Once finished and after moving back home, she decided to rename it Just Breathe in memory of the experience.
