Description:
I had an encounter camping in Oregon many years ago, and this quilt is a nod to that experience and also to one of my favorite show x files. The title comes from the poster he used to have hanging in his office. I sketched each character and then used a freezer paper technique with lots of fussy cutting and auditioning of fabric. All my fabric has holes. It is like a triptych. There is morning/spring, dusk/autumn and night/winter. It all started in my head with bigfoot. He is the star of the quilt. Of course coming in second is the alien ships. If you look closely behind the "glass" made of angelina fibers you can see little aliens in there. I also used angelina fiber to make the rainbow. This just came off my flynn frame today. I still need to bind it and embellish it. This has been years from an idea in my head till now.
