Do you love making Yo-Yos? Would you make 360 of them? Michele Muska did! Listen to her story as she talks about why she did it, and why ladies in the 1930s and 1940s did it as well.

"Go Tell It at the Quilt Show!" is a Quilt Alliance project designed to capture the stories of quilts where quiltmakers gather.

I was addicted to making yo-yos from all sorts of left over scraps - made up a floral quilt from them - I must post it on TQS. I have lost precision due to arthritis and ageing disability but hey ho still enjoyed creating my quilt from yo-yos

My group in So/Cal had a challenge for 1800 yo-yo's about 4 years ago. I moved to Spokane and know that I have 700 done. I think one or two of the "girls" might have actually finished the 1800, but I'm not sure. I'll check. Anyway I have the name already "The Challenge That Wasn't". Now I just have to make 800 more yo-yo's.

You go girl. Love that yo quilt. Makes me think about a little yoyo action in my future. Btw - her book is a lovely thing. Even the paper it's printed on is nice. Lots of inspiration in those pages

I love making yoyos and have considered making a quilt out of them and making it like a scrappy quilt.

I made 2600 yoyos and a "quilt" for my daughter!

I made over 2500 of them for a king sized coverlet. It was loads of fun and very portable.

I made around 150 yo-yo several years ago, but stopped because I didn't know what to do w them. Still have the material and now I do have some ideas! Thanks a bunch! H
