The fun continues for those of you making Ewe and Me by Janet Stone.  This month you will be working on letters S, Y, Z and sewing all of the letters together with sashing.

Be sure to watch the companion video with Julie Cefalu for great tips and tricks.

Send your school bound student off in style with a bag designe to keep all those cords and plug-ins in a unique and personalized bag.

Line the bag with waterproof material and it becomes a great cosmetic bag.

If you have been following along with our Show Techniques program you should have a nice collection of blocks.  Why not make a cover for your notebook?
We have created a printable pdf sheet featuring our Sampler Quilt that will be on display in our Booth at the Houston Quilt Festival this fall.  Print out the sheet and slip it in the cover of your notebook.  How simple is that?

Looking to add a bit of color and texture to your surroundings?  We found a great solution that uses scraps from your stash, straight pins and styrofoam balls.  We think these would be perfect as an accent for the holidays, or really anytime you want a splash of color.  Find the tutorial here.

It's often been noted that the best gifts come in small packages. Here's a chance to make an adorable gift holder--large or small--using only craft paper, ribbon, and a few simple supplies. It's the perfect "wrap" for a gift card, small quilting tool, or other goodie. We found variations (with downloadable templates) on several websites.

TQS is streaming the shows in HD starting with the 1400 series. This looks fantastic on fast internet and even looks great in full screen mode. Slower internets have problems with this. The system is supposed to figure this out for you, but it doesn't always work (technology, right?!).

So if your streaming has pauses and slow downs, click the "HD" (high definition) symbol in the lower right of the video screen. This will convert your viewing from "HD" to "SD" (standard definition). Then streaming should be much better. If it still stalls: start the video, pause it, then let the video buffer in for about 5-10 minutes. When you start it up again it will read in at full speed until it catches up with the buffered amount.

Create an updated version traditional wooden tray...using quilted fabric !  This charming little tray (from Threadridinghood.com) can be made in no time and requires only a few bits of fabric that you probably already have in your stash.  Why not whip up a few of these for your next family picnics.
