TQS members PaulaDoyle and Ferret are part of a community-based project that aims to make eight quilts (four medieval-inspired and four contemporary) to celebrate the 800th anniversary of the sealing of the Magna Carta at Runnymede on June 15, 1215.  This enormous project will take the good part of a year, with the goal being completion in time for the major celebrations throughout the UK, the US, and Commonwealth Nations.

Heat was the order of the day at the 2014 Sisters Outdoor Quilt show this year.  Temperatures in the 90s saw the spectators visiting the show early while they could still keep cool.  It didn't stop them however, from shopping and enjoying another amazing show of quilts from around the world.

Take a look at some of the amazing quilts, hard-working volunteers, and beautiful flowers that make up just a piece of this wonderful day in Sisters, Oregon.

Sit back and relax, there are over 100 slides... and stay tuned for more quilts...

Do you know about the Row by Row Experience?  It's a new kind of shop hop with no fees, no passports, and all summer to play at the more than 1200 quilt shops that are participating.

All you have to do is stop by a participating shop to receive a free pattern for a row in a quilt.  Combine your rows in any fashion to create your unique design.

Create a quilt using at least 8 different rows and be the first to bring it into a participating shop to win a stack of 25 fat quarters (6-1/4 yards of fabric!). Use that shop’s row in your quilt and win a bonus prize!

Over 1250 quilt shops are participating in 34 states and Ontario and planning fun for quilters everywhere. Although the quilt shops are organized by state, quilters have no borders. Travel, shop, collect patterns and add rows to your quilt from any area.

Click on Learn More to find out who is participating.
