From Chapter One:
Ricky sits down and talks with Teri Lucas. Teri has been a long time TQS member and promoter. She started with traditional quilting, but transitioned to machine quilting (on a domestic) in 2006. During the talk we ger a glimpse of her quilts.
From Chapter Two:
Teri shares a method for learning and practicing machine quilting designs using 12" quilt sandwiches. She then stitches out a 9-Patch block to use as an area where she can audition thread color, pattern variations, and other ideas before you move to an actual quilt.
From Chapter Three:
Using a color wheel, Teri shows how thread looks like in your hands versus what it will look like on a quilt depending on if you quilt it tightly or loosely. Some colors recede, while others come to the foreground. She also shares examples of various solid colored background fabrics stitched with the same colored thread.
From Chapter Four:
TQS visits the Houston International Quilt Festival for an interview with Martha Sielman about SAQA and the UPCYCLE Exhibit from the 2019 Houston Show.
