Show 2206: The Hoop Sisters - The Magic of Quilting in a Hoop

Featuring: Annie Moody / Lynda Remmers

Posts On: March 11, 2018

Alex starts the show with a fun and tantalizing technique for inserting a pop of color and texture into a Dresden Plate block using ricrac.
Annie and Lynda, a.k.a. The Hoop Sisters, delight us with the variety of ways digitized embroidery designs and the hoop can be used to create a quilt entirely constructed on the sewing machine. Along with tips for avoiding common mistakes when building an embroidery design, the sisters share how to join blocks and how to finish a quilt by machine.

I agree with what the other members are saying! As well as my friends in the quilting community. The website basically “sucks “! I’m sorry to say that but it seems that the shows are hard to find but lots of trailers. My saving grace was I could order the DVD’s and they were great without the hassle! Now they are no longer available! Just FYI we don’t all live in areas with good internet connection!!

Anabeth - you are right that credit should go where credit is due - After taping over 750 shows in my life you can imagine it is hard to keep it all sorted out and remember what has been presented. Had I remembered Cheryl had presented it, I would have certainly shouted out to her. Thx for the edit. A

My membership is good until April. It takes a long time to get anywhere on the website, and once I log in, I can't watch any shows, only trailers, even though I'm a paid-up member!!!!!! I need to know if you're going to fix it, or not only will I not renew, I will be looking for a refund on services paid for (by me) and not delivered (by TQS).

Where would I find the makeup bags and other small projects shown at the end of the video? I couldn't find anything like that on the hoopsisters website.

Nice adaptation of Cheryl Lynch's rick-rack technique (Show 811). Sorry you didn't mention her.
