Featured Quilt - Third Place Hand Quilting / Handmade at Houston 2021

Young Leaves by Chizuko Ito won Third Place in the Hand Quilting / Handmade category at Houston 2021. Chizuko's quilt celebrates the summer season, and while we're not quite there yet, it's nice to think about the warm months ahead and appreciate what they mean to us during the cold days of winter. She says, "Early summer is the most beautiful and the brightest season. Woods are turning green and flowers in the fields are blooming. I expressed such a lovely scene in this quilt."
