Do a puzzle of Alex Anderson's Silk Tie Quilt.

In the back of her mind, Alex had always wanted to make a silk tie quilt. But after visiting the Colorado State Guild and seeing the tie quilt that one of the students made, the idea finally came to the forefront of her mind. The trick with Alex's quilt was that she got all of her material, the silk ties, from a thrift store in a retirement community for really cheap. So after pre-washing, yes pre-washing, the ties and deconstructing them, Alex was able to throw the ties up on her design wall and construct a beautiful Silk Tie Quilt.
